James Wood is a life long Nelson County resident. Jimmy and his family have a true appreciation for and understanding of the beautiful land and countryside he calls home. With almost twelve years in the real estate business and strong community contacts and networks, Jimmy brings incredible knowledge and expertise to his clients and customers. He is admired by his peers for his in depth knowledge of Farms and Estates in Central Virginia and is consistently recognized for outstanding achievements in the field. Jim Wood, who is our Mangaging Broker in our Lovingston and Rockfish offices, was born and raised in Nelson County. After earning a degree in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in 1994, Jim moved to the Washington D.C./Blatimore area. There he started his sales career with a regional distributor of commercial roofing products.  In 1999 Jim moved back to Nelson County and joined Montague, Miller & Co. as an associate.  Jim credits his enjoyment of the outdoors for his move back to Nelson County. In the warmer months he enjoys golfing, fishing and hiking and plans to get involved in local civic activities.  In 2003 Jim joined our management force as the Broker in the office where he first started working.  In April of 2004, Jim opened a new Montague, Miller & Co. office in Nellysford.  This is Montague, Millers 8th office in Central VA.
